T-money is a widely used smart transportation card system in South Korea, launched in 2004. It is a prepaid card, primarily used for:
- Public transportation (subway, buses, taxis)
- Purchases at convenience stores and vending machines
- Payment at some parking lots
T-money cards can be purchased and recharged at convenience stores, subway stations, and other locations. In addition to the physical card, there is also a mobile app version. It greatly simplifies the payment process for passengers and improves the efficiency of the public transportation system.
