Cards
Plastic cards issued by shoppers' banks, used for cashless payments at point-of-sale, through e-commerce websites, or within mobile applications. Cards may be debit cards, credit cards, or prepaid cards, typically operated by card networks. Sometimes cards may be associated with digital wallets or other local payment methods, but the most common uses are cash withdrawals or cashless payments. Typical cards contain a card number used to uniquely identify a card. They also include a security code, which when combined with other information (card expiration date and cardholder name), is used to verify card-not-present transactions (such as when purchasing goods or services on e-commerce websites or mobile applications).
